TRAINING WITH LAURA FLESSEL

Nathalie chooses Paris to train and prepare the next Olympic games, where she lives since 2006 and where she can find the high level structures she needs to perform.

Since 2014, Nathalie established a special cooperation with her friend and ex Olympic Champion, Laura Flessel. who takes care of Nathalie’s fencing preparation until the next Olympic Games of Rio 2016.

This original team of two women athletes represents something very new for fencing world, mostly considering that Laura used to fence for France and Nathalie used to fence for Italy and now for Brazil.

Since Nathalie’s return to high Level competition in 2014, the two women are working hard, building their project with the aim to win a medal in Rio 2016.

Laura, along with the famous fencing Master Daniel Levavasseur, takes care of the strategy of matches and the management of trainings. Thanks to her experience in the fencing scenario, Laura is able to give a real technical and strategic support during international competitions as well.

LAURA FLESSEL-COLOVIC

She is a French fencing Champion. She used to be number one on the all-time list of French female Olympic medal winners, with the record of five as well as two times Olympic Champion and six times World Champion. Laura was France’s flag-bearer at the 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony in London. It was her fifth and last Olympics. Laura is a sports’ icon.
